Spivey Homes Custom Home Builder

Excitement is growing as the new Dove House Child Advocacy Center facility in Statesville nears completion. The 6,400 square foot property being built by Spivey Construction, a subsidiary of Spivey Homes, is set to be completed by late September or early October.

exterior7Dove House is a non-profit organization that provides a safe and child-friendly facility from which a multidisciplinary team works together to support the investigation, intervention and successful prosecution of reported child sexual abuse cases in Iredell and Alexander Counties.

Dove House realized it was outgrowing its existing facility, a two-story Victorian era home in Statesville, so through generous donations of material, time and money, a new building was designed to accommodate the organization.

The new facility will feature a family room, kitchen, interview room, medical examination room and emergency pantry with food and clothes. The rooms are designed to be child-friendly and offer a whimsical décor to make the victims feel safe and comfortable.

Outside, there will be extensive landscaping, including walkways, benches and meditation gardens with a waterfall – all to help provide a calming atmosphere for victims and their families.

Once the facility is finished, Dove House plans to have two grand opening celebrations: one for donors, sponsors and those who helped with the construction; and one for the general public to give them an opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the organization.

As completion of the facility grows closer, Dove House will announce the dates and times of its grand openings, which Spivey Homes and Spivey Construction will share on their web sites.
